At Cedar Grove we have established the Leadership Planning committee to bring leaders of all committees, activities, ministries, along with three elected at-large church members to reflect, discuss, and plan for Cedar Grove. We have been called many things from Church Council to Long Term Planning but Leadership planning encompasses both. As leaders in the church we must listen to the members of our ministries and members of our church, learn from our mistakes and change and/or improve our ministries to be an effective New Testament church where we are to go and make disciples, bring them into fellowship, and teach them through discipleship.
"The LORD foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples. But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations." Psalm 33:10-11
With a large group of people there are many different opinions, feedback, suggestions, and more. But one verse we must all remember when planning for the Church as well as in our personal daily lives is Proverbs 16:3, "Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans."
