We have our Sunday worship services in the ARK (our gym). Although it isn’t your traditional sanctuary, it is fully functional.
Our children’s and youth classes are located in the Student Center (brick building).
Beginning at 9:45am, we offer Sunday School classes for every age, and most every stage of life. From Nursery to Adult classes, there is something for everyone. All adult classes are held in the ARK, and all children’s classes are located in the Student Center. Sunday School classes are the best place to make deep connections with other church members. These classes serve as a great growing place, an environment in which you can open up, develop lasting friendships, and have a great time.
Each Sunday Morning Worship Service begins at 11am and lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes. There’s worship music, videos, and practical biblical preaching. Pastor Darrell Taylor provides transformational preaching that applies to your everyday life.
Bring your children to the Student Center where you will find a Sunday School class for all ages. If your children are in the 4th Grade or younger then we have Wee Worship and Junior Church during the morning service. The Wee Worship program is for children age 2 through kindergarten and Junior Church is for 1st through 4th graders. The youth also have their Sunday School classes in the Student Center as well.
God’s forgiveness is in Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross 2000 years ago. We cannot have eternal life and heaven without God’s forgiveness. The Bible says
“In Him [meaning Jesus] we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins” – Ephesians 1:7a
God’s forgiveness is available for all. The Bible says
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” –
John 3:16.
Just like it says in the verse, whoever believes in Jesus will have eternal life. God’s forgiveness is available but not automatic. The Bible says
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven” – Matthew 7:21.
It’s not just the words we speak, but we have to believe it in our hearts.
It is impossible for God to allow sin into heaven. What does the word SIN mean? There are two kinds of sin. One is when we do something God doesn’t want us to do, and the other is when we do not do what God wants us to do. God has many characteristics but there are two that standout.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” –
John 3:16.
God loved us so much that he sent his only son to die for our sins to provide a way to heaven.
“For judgment is without mercy” – James 2:13.
God has to judge us for our sins.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” – Romans 3:23.
Question: But how can a sinful person enter heaven, where God allows no sin? This question will be answered in the next letter.
Turn means repent.
The Bible teaches that we need to turn away from sin and self. Turn away from always wanting to be in control. In the Bible, Jesus said,
“But unless you repent you will all likewise perish” – Luke 13:3.
But the Bible’s teaching does not stop there. Jesus said,
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No on comes to the father except through Me.” – John 14:6.
The Bible goes on to tell us that
“Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the
Scriptures” – 1 Corinthians 15:3-4.
Here is the greatest news of all. The Bible says
“If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’ and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. With
the heart one believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses, resulting in salvation.” – Romans 10:9-10.
What happens if a person is willing to repent of their sins and confess Christ?
Heaven is a place where we will live with God forever.
“If I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; so that where I am, there you may be also” – John
14:3.
Eternal life begins now with Jesus.
“I have come that they may have life and have it in abundance” – John 10:10.
How can a person have God’s forgiveness, eternal life, and heaven?
By trusting Jesus as your Savior and Lord.
