Cedar Grove Baptist Church Student Ministry’s goal is to make life-long followers of Christ who are striving in their daily walk to follow Him and influence others. We strive at Cedar Grove Baptist Church to reach each student through a variety of activities and opportunities to serve others. Our students learn and grow in their relationship with each other and the Lord in various opportunities of worship, learning, fun and accountability.  We offer a variety of times our students are able to grow together such as Sunday morning Sunday School groups, Wednesday night youth group time, worship opportunities in our community  and fun filled times of fellowship.

Students gather each Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m. in the Youth Room Area to spend a little time in fellowship before we break into specific age groups in order to connect to God’s word and learn how to apply God’s word to our lives.  Growing closer to Him and closer together.

Each Wednesday night our students gather together at 6:30 for fun filled activities and laughter before we split into specific age groups of middle school and high school.

We are passionate at Cedar Grove Baptist Church Student Ministry in guiding our students to become faithful followers of Christ who are equipped to share the Gospel with other students their own age. Come and join us!!

Youth Leaders

Carey Burford

As a big kid myself, I love to have fun! I’m so thankful God has given me the perfect place to do that- with an amazing group of kids. No matter if we’re studying, serving, or playing- it brings me great joy to share life with Cedar’s youth.

"Let those also who love Your name be joyful in You."
-Psalms 5:11

Kelli Schureman

An effective youth ministry is vital to a growing, thriving and nurturing church body! I am blessed to work, learn, guide, teach  and pray along side young people who are eager to grow, serve and learn more about Jesus Christ! It is my great joy to serve the youth of Cedar Grove Baptist Church!

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

I have always thought of the youth students as my 'bonus kids'. I enjoy sharing life with them and I know I have learned far more from them than they could ever learn from me. I am so grateful that God gives me the opportunity to love and serve them by exploring the wisdom of the Bible and discovering ways to apply His word to their everyday lives as they pursue a closer walk with Him.
